Eva Longoria Compares Fame To Hurricane
December 29th, 2006 by honey
Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Eva Longoria thanks her lucky stars she didn’t let fame get to her head.
Eva recently said fame is like a hurricane. If you’re not careful, you can easily get swept away by it.
The “Desperate Housewives” star who got engaged to basketball star Tony Parker last month, became an overnight star when the show, which first aired in 2004, became a worldwide hit.
The 31-year-old admits she wasn’t prepared for the intense interest in her personal life the role of Gabrielle Solis brought her.
She said, “There’s no way to find your bearings when fame hits. It’s like a hurricane. I was famous in, like, two seconds. Thank God I was totally grounded before it all happened. I think if you don’t know who you are, then you’re suddenly forced to find yourself in this chaos. And you can’t.”
Since appearing in “Desperate Housewives,” Eva has gone on to star in a number of films, including “The Sentinel” opposite Michael Douglas.
Eva and her French-born fiancee Tony are apparently set to wed in a French castle in July of next year.
